Yensi Jimenez
Yensi Jimenez (189-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Fenix and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 45 points adding five rebounds for Fenix in his team's victory, helping them to beat Sameji (#4, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 115-102. It allowed Fenix to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LDC. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Fenix already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Jimenez had a remarkable fifteen three-pointers out of 26 attempts. He just recently signed at Fenix, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jimenez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.0ppg) and averages solid 51.2% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard DeJon Waters Jr. (190-G-1997) of Evolve OL. Waters Jr. impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Evolve OL to edge Del Patio (1-4) by 3 points 109-106. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in West. Evolve OL consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Evolve OL managed to get this year. Waters Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Evolve OL and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was American Domont Wright (203-F/C-1997) of second-ranked Santiago Basket. Wright scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Wright's great performance Santiago Basket lost 75-90 to #1 ranked Immortals. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Santiago Basket ranking at the top of West, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Wright could help Santiago Basket to bring them higher in the standings. The season just started for Wright as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

4. Oliver Ferreira (189-G-1993) of Capitanes - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
